“Fall” Into Marin County

Fall is a very special time in Marin County. Typically we have some of the best weather of the year during October and early November. West Marin is particulary beautiful with the fall leaves and that hint of fall in the air. Samuel P. Taylor State Park is a great place for a picnic or BBQ along side the creek and there are several wonderful hiking trails for hikers of all ages. You may also want to visit the Pt. Reyes National Seashore which is just a few miles further to the west. You’ll find the Visitor Center there a fun stop as well some great hiking or biking trails such as the “Eathquake” Trail where you can see evidence of the ground moving back in 1906. There is also the “Bear Valley” Trail which takes you thru a wide meadow, and fern covered hills before you come to the Pacific Ocean. The Corte Madera Inn reception staff will be more than pleased to assist you with information on these adventures or other great ways to spend you day in Marin!

Corte Madera July 4th Festivities

The Corte Madera-Larkspur July 4th event is one not to be missed! This year the parade starts at noon at Redwood H. S. and concludes at the veiwing stands on Tamalpais Dr. around 1:30. There are also festivities in the Corte Madera Town Park from 9 AM to 5 PM with arts and crafts booths, childrens’ activities, stage bands and food and beer. Please check with our front desk receptionists for more information and directions. Happy 4th!
